Pokemon R/S/E Remake?

Finally a journal entry thats useful. So like millions of other people, I am very eager to have a remake of my favorite generation. I can't play Sapphire anymore because I traded in my DS Lite. So until I can buy another gameboy or something, I am hoping for a remake.
I heard hints about remakes. Some of them include hints that are in Pokemon Black and White or Black 2/White 2. Like three rivals (May/Brendan/Wally) and three rivals in BW (Cheren/Bianca/Hugh)
I don't think Gamefreak has ever mentioned remaking the games, but they are practically the only games that havent been remade yet, besides D/P/PL.
What are your thoughts?
